Police Officer Injured in Logan Square Crash

A police officer was injured in a car accident while responding to a call on December 31 in the Logan Square section of Chicago.  The officer, whose age and sex were not released, was headed toward the scene of a burglary in progress in a police SUV when he or she collided with another SUV near the corner of Sacramento Avenue and George Street around 1:15 pm.  The other driver was not injured.  The officer was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious-to-critical condition.
