When you hired McCready, Garcia & Leet, you probably met with one of the lawyers about your case. Part of your case involves ordering medical records and preparing your injury case for an insurance claim or court case. Our paralegal Marilyn Miller makes sure your case is ready when it is time to present your case. Many clients do not realize how much work goes into preparing a claim or case. The lawyers need to make sure we have all the relevant medical records and bills to effectively represent our clients and Marilyn plays a large part in managing this aspect of your case.
Marilyn joined McCready, Garcia & Leet in 2009 after a long career working at Aramark managing corporate travel for the multi-national company. Although she had no previous background in being a paralegal, she proved a quick learner. But did you know that Marilyn’s sister, Sue Boltz (a paralegal with M,G&L since 2007) convinced her to apply? Knowing what a great paralegal Sue had been and Marilyn’s past experience made it an easy decision to hire Marilyn.
Marilyn lives in Mokena, giving her the longest commute of any of the employees of M,G&L. In her free time, Marilyn spends spring, summer and fall tending to her many gardens. In winter, Marilyn is the first person in the office to know if snow is in the forecast. With so many people at M,G&L living so close to the office, we have to be mindful of Marilyn’s relatively long commute when the forecast calls for inclement weather.
When Marilyn is not working hard to make sure clients’ files are in order, she enjoys singing with her church choir. Marilyn also has a young grandson who she thoroughly enjoys spoiling. Without employees like Marilyn working hard behind the scenes, we could not obtain such successful results for our clients.
