Bio

Andrea Falco is a Settlement Paralegal Assistant at McCready Law. Her role is dedicated to ensuring a smooth and efficient settlement process for our clients.

Sometimes, both parties involved in a suit decide not to go to court, but make arrangements, or “settle” outside of it. So Andrea supports the paralegals in our settlement department by sending clients documents for electronic signatures and coordinating with insurance companies on their behalf. Andrea maintains clear communication with clients, troubleshoots technical issues (e-signatures can be tricky!),and provides updates on payment statuses, making her the final point of contact for clients awaiting their settlement checks.

Andrea meticulously reviews cases ready for disbursement, ensuring all paperwork is complete and all issues are resolved. She does this daily, so you will never have to wait long for a resolution. She also helps keep track of client expenses, like hospital and referral law firm bills, to make sure everyone is reimbursed correctly. Additionally, Andrea manages documents on the Medicare portal for accessibility.

Andrea lives and works in Guatemala where she is qualified as both an attorney and notary. She has also served as an administrative judge in transit and civil law, handling both traffic court cases and family disputes. Andrea continues to take on local cases when time permits, balancing this with her administrative role in the USA.

She holds a degree from Rafael Landívar University in Guatemala City and is pursuing a Master’s in Human Rights at the Public University of San Carlos de Guatemala. With a decade of experience, including five years as a judge, Andrea is passionate about human rights, particularly the better treatment of indigenous people at home in Guatemala.

In her free time, Andrea enjoys spending time with her large family. She has a young son, who is the light of her life. She loves family meals, parties, and get-togethers for holidays, and “just because,” too. She will also never turn down a good cup of coffee, which isn’t hard to come by with so many great Guatemalan blends to choose from. She is also a foodie, with a particular fondness for Italian cuisine and BBQ.
