Emely is one of our Intake Assistants, so when you reach out to us with a case, she will be one of the first people you speak to. Emely’s role is to listen to our clients. She aims to really understand their cases, so she can determine if our firm can help. As we only deal in personal injury, she also helps people seeking assistance with workers’ compensation and medical malpractice cases to our trustworthy referral partners. Her role is crucial in connecting our attorneys to their clients, gathering intake data correctly (and quickly!), and linking clients to all necessary resources.
One of her favorite parts of her job is taking the time to get to know each person who reaches out. Emely genuinely cares about what happened to you and the pain you are in. She wants to know as much about what happened as you can tell her, so she can get you the help that you need. You are not just a number to her.
Before working with us, Emely worked as a medical interpreter in her native Honduras for years, allowing her to become very familiar with medical settings and how things work. She also worked at an immigration firm previously. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor in Law at La Universidad Católica De Honduras.
Emely lives with her grandmother and enjoys spending her free time with her family. There is always something going on at the house, like a birthday party, or family luncheon after church on Sunday mornings. She has nieces, and loves to support them in all their activities, like soccer and swimming. Emely also has a beloved cat named Tom, inspired by the cartoon “Tom and Jerry.”
