Originally from Dallas, Cristi brings a unique background and a deep sense of purpose to her role as a pre-litigation paralegal. Before entering the legal field, Cristi spent many years in education as an elementary and middle school teacher. Over the course of her career, she wrote secondary school math curriculum, trained new teachers, and even served as a summer program principal — all roles that required patience, precision, and a talent for guiding others. Teaching was also especially meaningful while raising her family, as she was able to keep the same schedule as her kids.
When her youngest son entered high school and the familiar rhythms of teaching no longer held the same benefits, Cristi knew it was time for a change. She retired from education just before the pandemic, tutoring privately for a time before pursuing her long-standing interest in law. A true-crime enthusiast at heart, she was drawn to the investigative side of legal work and soon began her career as a pre-litigation paralegal at a Dallas law firm.
In 2024, after her youngest son graduated from Navy boot camp in Chicago, Cristi and her husband relocated to the city they had fallen in love with so easily. Today, she thrives on the “detective work” of her role—gathering evidence, securing police and incident reports, and filing claims with insurance companies. She has a strong sense of justice and is deeply empathetic, approaching each case with the mindset that something unfair happened to an ordinary person who deserves help making things right.
Now an empty nester, Cristi and her husband are all about embracing life in Chicago. She loves the city’s friendly energy, walkable neighborhoods, and the chance to finally experience changing seasons after so many years in Texas. From theater shows and concerts to lakefront dinners, she enjoys exploring everything the city has to offer.
Cristi is also a proud mom of three grown children and a grandmother to two little ones in Dallas.
