Clay Musial is one of our dedicated associate attorneys. A proud Illinois native from Elgin, he moved to Houston for college, where he earned a dual bachelor’s degree in English and Environmental Science from Rice University. He then graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law in December 2023 and passed the Illinois Bar in May 2024, quickly joining McCready Law to begin making a difference.
Clay brings his passion for advocacy and problem-solving to every case. His practice focuses on helping clients navigate challenging personal injury cases with empathy and determination. Whether he’s advocating in court, negotiating settlements, or preparing briefs, Clay is committed to securing the best possible outcomes for those who’ve endured any pain and hardship. His approach to law is rooted in a genuine desire to support others, using his skills in writing, argument, and legal strategy to help our clients get the compensation and support they deserve.
Clay’s days at the firm are busy and fulfilling, often starting with court appearances and continuing with client communications, legal filings, and collaborating with the rest of the talented McCready Law team. He values the firm’s supportive culture and the opportunity to tackle complex cases. No two days are ever the same.
Outside of work, Clay enjoys running every day—a habit leftover from his collegiate career as a cross-country and track athlete. He also loves exploring the outdoors in general, with hiking in Switzerland ranking among his favorite experiences. When he’s not on the move, Clay is a big movie guy. He loves classics like “The Shawshank Redemption” and “The Big Lebowski,” but also childhood favorites like the Toy Story movies. Clay loves to read and play video games — so if you need any recommendations, feel free to reach out.
Clay lives in Chicago with his brother, who is also studying law.
