Deaner is the receptionist in our Beverley office. She is excited to be a part of the team, as it’s one of the best ones she’s been a part of. When you call the office, Deaner will be the first person you speak to. Her smile and friendly demeanor radiate through the phone. You are definitely in good hands with her.
Deaner previously worked for the City of Chicago, as well as the student affairs office at De Paul University. She is a pro at answering high call volumes and getting everyone the help they need, ASAP. She takes her role as McCready Law’s “first impression” very seriously and is the type of person who always goes out of her way to help others.
Deaner technically retired in 2019, but soon realized she wanted something to keep her busy. Her job search went quickly and we are thrilled to have her here with us! She enjoys interacting with clients, hearing their stories, and solving their problems as quickly as possible. She strives to be pleasant and make others feel heard and looked after. Deaner is truly a haven for those around her.
At home, Deaner and her husband have been married since 1982. He is retired from the USPS and they have two grown sons. Deaner loves her close-knit family and is proud to have raised two well-educated men of character. She also has two grandchildren who she adores.
In her free time, she is active in her church and sings in the praise and worship choir. She and her husband also taught Sunday school. She loves bowling and swimming and is currently learning to golf. Deaner believes in living life to the fullest since we only get one of them.
She also loves Christmas! She learned how to decorate like a pro from watching the team at Marshall Field’s deck the store out over the years. Each year, she puts a lot of effort into fluffing her tree and placing the ornaments just so. But it’s not just Christmas, Deaner makes wreaths for each season, as well as table centerpieces.
We are so excited to have such a warm and fun person on our team. Welcome, Deaner!
