Michelle dedicates her practice to helping victims injured by the negligence and misconduct of others navigate the legal system so they can obtain the compensation they deserve. As a former civil defense attorney, she brings well-rounded litigation acumen to her cases, allowing her to analyze legal issues from multiple viewpoints in order to implement the most effective strategic courses of action for her clients and anticipate and outsmart defense strategies. Her practice includes product liability, car accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability, dog bite, and personal injury cases. She has experience with both routine claims and contentious high value cases.
Prior to joining Burger Law, Michelle served as a defense litigation attorney at national law firms where she represented sophisticated clients in complex litigation and learned how large corporations and defense attorneys defend cases. She also honed her expertise in litigation. She has successfully briefed dispositive motions and appeals, defended client depositions, deposed opposing parties, and experts, represented clients at mediations and overseen large-scale discovery productions. She is licensed to practice law in both Missouri and Illinois.
Michelle grew up in St. Louis and Prairie Village, Kansas. She graduated from Wake Forest University and the University of Missouri School of Law. In her free time, she enjoys reading and hiking with her Old English Sheepdog, Henry.
