As a Law Clerk at McCready Law, Philip Alishaq assists the firm’s attorneys with settlements, litigation, discovery, and complaint drafting. Currently in his final year at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, he will graduate with his J.D. in May 2026.
Philip’s journey toward becoming an attorney began well before law school. After earning his degree in Political Science with concentrations in Pre-Law and Criminology from DePaul University, he worked in personal injury law as a case manager and paralegal. Those early hands-on experiences gave him a strong foundation in client communication, case preparation, and the negotiation process.
Inspired by both a law professor and his sister (who is also an attorney!), Philip pursued law school with a clear goal: to advocate for people navigating difficult situations. He joined McCready Law in May 2025 for his 3L year, where he contributes to drafting demands and complaints, supporting litigation efforts, and helping move settlements toward resolution.
Philip is drawn to McCready Law’s mission of helping people from all walks of life and takes pride in being part of a team that truly cares for its clients.
Outside of work, Philip likes to travel, cook, listen to music, and play soccer. His favorite professional team is FC Barcelona. And his favorite player is, of course, Messi. He’s looking forward to the FIFA World Cup being in America in 2026 and hopes to catch more than a few games.
