With nearly two decades of professional experience under her belt, Shavon Truman is a seasoned pro and we rely on her to keep everything around here running smoothly. As our office manager, she oversees the operations of all of our locations. Shavon makes sure the staff has what they need to make each day successful. In simple terms, her hard work is the glue that holds most things together.

While Shavon keeps a tight ship so our clients are served correctly, her favorite part of her job here is the people. She loves the close-knit atmosphere of each office, where colleagues really do feel more like a family. It’s this camaraderie and team spirit that makes every day at work a joy.

Shavon has called the Chicago area home all her life. Originally from the vibrant South Side, she now lives in the Hyde Park area. Outside of work, she’s deeply involved in her church community, where she helps manage the congregation’s financial matters. At home, she loves spending time with her two daughters. Shamaria is an economics and public policy student at Georgia State University and Brooklyn is a middle school student and USAG Gold gymnast. Her girls are the most important people in her life.

In her free time, she enjoys unwinding with a good movie, particularly Lifetime dramas, and cherishes moments of peace and quiet. She’s a foodie, too, and is always looking for new dishes to try in Chicago and beyond.

When it comes to travel, she’s a beach enthusiast, with a particular fondness for the Caribbean’s sandy shores. But she’s not one to shy away from adventure, as she’s been known to hit the slopes snowboarding and loves a good run on a jet ski, too.
With her passion for organization, her love for her colleagues, and her dedication to her family and community, she’s an integral part of the McCready Law team.
