Stephanie is licensed to practice law in Illinois, New York, and New Jersey and is a member of LAGBAC and the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
Before joining our team, Stephanie built a distinguished career practicing complex corporate and personal injury defense. With a sharp legal mind and a tenacious spirit, she has earned a reputation for delivering results through strategic thinking and unwavering advocacy. Stephanie takes great pride in her ability to negotiate fiercely yet fairly, always guided by integrity and a deep commitment to justice. Her clients know her not only as a powerful advocate, but as someone who genuinely cares—someone who listens, understands, and stands beside them every step of the way. As your attorney, Stephanie will champion your case with dedication, treating you with the dignity, compassion, and respect you truly deserve.
She was raised in Jersey City, New Jersey, one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the country. She grew up in a multi-cultural family: her parents, from Ecuador and Trinidad, along with her second parents (her godparents) from the Philippines. They all taught her to appreciate the cultural differences of a global community. At a young age, she learned the importance of diversity and inclusion, which is something she is still passionate about promoting as an adult. As a child, she constantly spoke up for her two older brothers (whether they wanted her to or not). She enjoyed speaking up for others so much that she decided to pursue a career as an attorney.
Stephanie moved to Chicago at 17 to attend Loyola University on a pre-law track. She earned her dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice & Criminology, then attended the John Marshall Law School, now known as the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law. After graduating from law school, she decided to call Chicago her new home.
Stephanie lives with her wife, Ashley, and their young son in the northern suburbs of Chicago, along with their two cats, Chase and Raymond, and their senior pitbull, Tina Turner. Out of office, you could find her playing kickball in Chicago’s Stonewall Kickball League or singing a breathtaking rendition of “Zombie” by The Cranberries at late-night karaoke.
