As one of our Intake Assistants, Vaneli Cruz is often the first point of contact for clients seeking legal guidance. She handles incoming leads, whether through phone calls, emails, or online forms, ensuring that every potential client receives the attention and care they deserve. She primarily gathers key case details—from police reports to specifics about motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and dog bites—before determining whether a case meets the firm’s criteria for legal representation. 

In addition to taking in new clients, Vaneli helps gather and check personal information. She makes sure that important documents are sent out and returned quickly, which keeps the cases progressing smoothly. With her attention to detail in entering data and organizing files, she is essential in helping the legal team stay ready and up-to-date.

With years of experience in customer service, Vaneli developed a philosophy she calls “Reverse ACE.” It’s a method she created to ensure every client interaction is handled with:

Before transitioning into the legal field, Vaneli spent nearly a decade in the medical industry, working in chiropractic offices, primary care practices, specialty clinics, and radiology centers. Her experience there gave her an in-depth understanding of how medical offices operate, making her especially skilled at navigating medical paperwork, patient care, and insurance processes. She also worked in administration and reception, further honing her ability to manage fast-paced environments with efficiency and professionalism.

Her background in both medical administration and legal intake gives her a unique ability to handle sensitive situations with care, dignity, and efficiency. She knows that clients are often coming to the firm during difficult times, and she is committed to making the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Outside of work, she’s all about ‘90s R&B, a cozy wine night at home, and good company. But she’s just as likely to be out on the streets rhythm skating, gliding to her favorite playlists, and soaking up the vibes.

A talented crocheter and seamstress, Vaneli also loves creating handmade gifts for her loved ones. Whether it’s crocheted flowers, custom tote bags, or warm beanies, every piece she makes is crafted with love. She also enjoys simple joys like long walks in the park—or at Target, because who doesn’t love a good Target run?

Vaneli has explored nearly every corner of the Caribbean, with Grand Turk and Caicos standing out as her absolute favorite.
