Samantha Harris is one of our dedicated and detail-driven Law Clerks. A 3L at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, she plays an essential role in supporting our attorneys and ensuring every case starts on a strong foundation.
Samantha works closely with case files, learning every detail—from how an accident occurred to the client’s age, injuries, and treatment—so she can serve as a true “case encyclopedia” for the attorneys and paralegals she supports. Whether she’s organizing documents, tracking deadlines, or untangling complex fact patterns, Samantha approaches every task with the goal of making the rest of our team’s work smoother and strengthening our clients’ paths to justice.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Samantha earned her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University, where she double-majored in Political Science and Public Health. Her passion for public policy led her to intern for New Jersey State Senator Linda Greenstein, where she gained firsthand exposure to the legislative process and discovered how the law can be used to improve lives. That interest ultimately brought her to law school, and to Chicago, a city she fell in love with during her initial visit.
A joint-degree student, Samantha is completing both her J.D. and a Master’s in Public Health, with a concentration in Health Law. This background gives her a unique perspective on cases involving medical issues, injury patterns, and public health implications. She uses this insight to better understand clients’ needs and support each case with clarity and compassion.
Outside the office, Samantha is always on the move. An avid skier, she joins her family for an annual ski trip, usually to Vermont, her favorite place to hit the slopes. She’s also a passionate foodie who loves trying new restaurants around Chicago, and she’ll never say no to good sushi or a strong coffee.
“The law’s some tricky stuff, isn’t it?”
