McCready Law handles many cases where the injuries and damages exceed the available insurance limits. Being in Chicago, we have many clients who sustain serious injuries and the at fault driver has the state minimum insurance limits of $20,000.
As a side note, the state minimum insurance rises to $25,000 on January 1, 2015. However, collecting the policy limits is not all we do for our clients. Often, we must negotiate with health insurance or medical providers so our client can receive as much as possible from a policy limit settlement.
Recently, we were able to collect a $100,000 policy limit settlement and reduce a health insurance lien to less than $6,000, despite the health insurer paying over $40,000 in medical bills.
