Work Injury Results in Death

Lawn mower accident

A 19 year old employee of the Frankfort Square Park District was killed on June 19, 2014.  The work injury occurred when a lawn mower being operated by the Park District employee capsized.  Frank Licka had worked summers for the Park District while in high school and college.

The US Census Bureau reported 4,383 work injuries resulting in death for 2012.  When an employee is killed on the job, workers’ compensation pays the deceased’s survivors for their loss.  The workers’ compensation lawyers of McCready Law has represented the families of those killed in workplace accidents.  Oftentimes, we can discover a third party case against another entity which results in a better recovery for the family.
