Over the years, the lawyers of McCready, Garcia & Leet have had their share of cases in the news.  Below are a few of the examples where we have appeared on television or been quoted in the media.

Michael McCready on CBS NewsMcCready , Garcia & Leet represented a young girl who sustained an eye injury when the metal wire ripped from the nylon fabric of a pop up hamper.  CBS News reporter Pam Zekman did a special segment on the dangers of these pop up hampers after learning that our client was not the only one to sustain an eye injury from these products.  Watch here as Pam Zekman interviews managing partner Michael McCready regarding our client’s injury and product liability case.

 

Michael McCready on Fox NewsThe fatal shooting of LaQuan McDonald by Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke made national news.  In this television segment, Michael McCready explains that how he sued officer Van Dyke eight years earlier for excessive force and obtained a $350,000 jury verdict on behalf of his client, Edward Nance.  Attorney McCready was quoted in many other news publications regarding his involvement in the case.

Michael McCready interviewed on WGN Radio

In addition to television and print coverage of the LaQuon McDonald case, Michael McCready was also interviewed on WGN Radio.  This was particularly meaningful to his wife, Denise McCready, who worked as a producer at WGN Radio before meeting Michael.

Another newsworthy case handled by McCready, Garcia & Leet is a case of environmental contamination in the town of Wedron, Illinois.  The firm has partnered with the Los Angeles firm if Girardi Keese in representing over 50 of the town’s residents who have developed serious health problems from the contamination as well as seen their housing values diminish due to the toxicity of the town.

Because of their long and successful history of handling dog bite cases, Michael McCready was quoted in Inc. Magazine about a case involving a young girl who was bitten by a service animal on a Southwest Airlines flight.  To read about this interesting case, click below.
