Man Charged in Connection with Lethal Car Accident Turns Himself in

A man charged in connection with a lethal hit-and-run car accident in November has turned himself in to Chicago police. Police identified Alexander Villa, 24, of West Altgeld Street as the driver in the accident that took place in November. According to court records, the warrant for Villa’s arrest was issued on December 18th.

On the morning of November 24th, Villa’s car hit another car, killing the driver of the other car and injuring his passenger. The driver and passenger in the other car were 24-year-old Ivan Miranda, and his younger brother, 21. The brothers were on their way to pick up their other brother when the accident occurred. Villa turned himself in to police with his attorney present.
