Man Crashes After Flight From Police

A man abruptly stopped his midnight flight from the police by crashing into two cars on Chicago’s South Side. The man injured himself and one other driver in the process.

Chicago police spotted the driver speeding and chased in pursuit. The 25-year-old driver refused to pull over and the chase spanned nearly eight miles before the man crashed. The chase began at 79th Street and Ashland Avenue and ended when the man collided with the two cars near the intersection of 45th Street and Pulaski Road.

The driver was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital while the driver of one of the other two vehicles was taken to Holy Cross Hospital. Both injured drivers were listed as being in good condition, and the 25-year-old man was later taken into custody.
